1Password
The 1Password plugin lets the Cursor agent create, import and manage a project's secrets with 1Password Developer Environments, so you don't paste secrets into chat.
Skills (1), hooks (1), MCP (1)
- 1password-environments: create, import or mount .env files, list variable names, add or update variables and rename environments.
- Hook: beforeShellExecution.
- MCP: the 1password MCP server.
- Add it from the Cursor marketplace (you need to be signed in to Cursor) or run
/add-plugin 1passwordin Cursor. - You need a 1Password account.
- On Windows the skill doesn't mount files and recommends
op run --environmentinstead.
- Mounted .env paths are pipes (FIFOs), not regular files.
- A hook runs a check on mounted .env files before every shell command the agent runs. (from the source code, not the listing)
- Other access isn't stated; 1Password asks you to approve access.
- Listed on the Cursor marketplace by 1Password.
- Repository: 1Password/cursor-plugin on GitHub.
- License: MIT (the repository's LICENSE file).
