Lobster
Lobster connects OpenClaw to the Lobster workflow shell: typed, JSON-first pipelines that can stop at checkpoints to ask for your approval or input, then resume where they left off.
- Adds the
lobsteragent tool as an optional plugin tool. - Pipelines can pause at approval or input checkpoints; you resume with your answer as JSON.
- An
openclaw.invokestep lets a pipeline call back into allowed OpenClaw tools through the Gateway.
- Install:
openclaw plugins install clawhub:@openclaw/lobster, then restart the Gateway. - Enable it in an agent's tool allowlist (it's registered as optional because workflows can have side effects).
- Needs OpenClaw host 2026.4.25 or later. Docs: docs.openclaw.ai/tools/lobster.
- The listing recommends a tight tool allowlist so workflows can't call arbitrary tools.
- It doesn't manage OAuth or tokens, and uses timeouts, output caps and strict JSON parsing.
- ClawHub security audit: Pass.
- Publisher: OpenClaw (@openclaw).
- Repository: openclaw/openclaw.
- Current version on the listing: v2026.10.5 (code plugin).
- License: MIT (the openclaw/openclaw repository, folder extensions/lobster).
